CREATING A NEW ENDORSEMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR JOSH HARRISON

Icon specializes in building creative sponsorships for athletes with local and regional brands and in non-traditional categories. These endorsements and community partnerships are ones not normally on the radar of an athlete’s agency or marketing rep.

This was the case in Pittsburgh when Icon helped to build a partnership between Pirates star Josh Harrison and Pittsburgh law firm Edgar Snyder & Associates. The firm was looking to further brand its community service initiatives in their television commercials and saw a creative way to do it by having Josh appear with Mr. Snyder in spots showing the two joining forces on local community service projects.

The partnership not only involves the firm’s support of Josh’s charitable efforts but also includes an endorsement as well.

Icon is always working on creative ways to activate promotions and ad campaigns with a community twist, and these often produce new marketing opportunities for athletes as well.
